I met her on the 8th of September,
A day I will always remember.

I saw her standing there,
She had long golden hair;
She was the girl of my dreams,
The Dj played a song of the Supremes.

With pounding heart, I asked her for a dance,
I thought I didn't have a chance;
But I was very lucky, she said "yes !"
She wore a colorful beautiful dress.

While dancing around the floor,
I saw, she wanted more,
We took a seat, talked and had great fun,
So we forgot time and had to run.

I brought her home as a real lady friend,
And hoped it wouldn't be the end,
But at her door we arranged another date,
It was next week, so I had to wait.

That was the beginning of a true romance,
And yes, it all started with a dance.
